Teenage Monsters (2006) Mike Sharlow

Teenage Monsters is a 1970's horror novel about a werewolf, a fiend, dope, and death. Dope smoking teenage boys engage in a ritual to turn their friend into a monster. A gang of alcoholic delinquent teens wreak their own kind of havoc. A stolen gun requires death to exist. A fiend from the Land of the Dead is the supernatural engine driving the story.

Nighthag (1993) Michael David

Nighthag is a sexually descriptive novel of terror, dealing with a demon's dark spritual enlightenment and a mortal's material gain. "Nighthag" meaning 'she of the night' was also known as Lilith, Adam's first wife. Lilith chose not to be submissive and left the Garden of Eden  and went to the underworld to copulate with demons. Nighthag is the story of one man's plight to resist her.

Special Note: I wrote this book under the pseudoyn of Michael David. This book was intially written under the title of Bloodwhore. In the early 1980's, I attempted to commercially publish it. After almost a year, and many rejections, I received a letter from an editor from Leisure Books. He said he had been carrying around the book for months, hoping to find a home for it. He liked it, but to no avail. I tossed it aside for about ten years. In the early 1990's I reworked it and published it in the small press.

Thi book is presently out of print. If you're interested in it. I have a few copies. Email me:

Welcome To The Ranks Of The Enchanted (1992) Michael David

Imagine that life spilt at some point and you experienced a separate reality while everyone else experienced another. The purpose? To send you a message, to tell you someone special was coming. Engulfed in a relationship made sick by drugs, a young man finds himself betrayed, abandoned, and lost. Then at the point of despair a power greater than himself revives his long-lost dreams of becoming a professional basketball player.
Special note:This novel is included in the William Charvat Special American Fiction Collections at The Ohio State University Library.I wrote it under the pseudonym of Michael Daivid. It was the second novel I wrote, but the first one I published. This book is presently out of print. Copies are sometimes available through online booksellers, but they're usually expensive. I have nothing to do with the price, and I receive no money from these sales.

Mike Sharlow is a lesser known writer of horror and scifi. His work is unabashedly violent and darkly humorous. Sex, with many of its perversions and afflictions and alcohol and drug use haunt his characters like the monsters they confront and battle. Demons of many forms pervade his stories and novels.

He was born October 14th, 1959 in La Crosse, Wisconsin, where he presently still lives. His other interests include science, primarily astronomy, history, and sports, especially football, baseball, basketball, and boxing. Many writers are inherently book collectors, as he is. His Irish and Iroquois Indian grandfather on his father's side was a professional jockey. He rode thoroughbreds. His German grandfather on my mother's side was a tavern owner that catered to ruffians, thieves, and prostitutes. He takes after both of them. He's always lliked horses, has an empathy towards prostitutes, and a taste for Jack Daniels.
